133 million children are orphaned around the world.
Of these millions of suffering children, Islamic Relief donors currently sponsor more than 27,000 orphans living in the poorest regions of Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Without your contributions, many of these children would be forced to provide and fend for themselves. Islamic Relief delivers your donations directly to the orphans' families, helping them afford necessities like food, shelter, healthcare, clothing and education.
Islamic Relief has been working with orphans for over 15 years, and now has projects in over 22 countries across the world.

Sponsorship gives you the opportunity to support a specific child and you will see your contribution help him or her grow and develop.
100% of the money you donate, which is either through monthly or yearly payments, is given directly to the orphan’s family or guardian, and the child is monitored to ensure that they receive the full benefits of your sponsorship.
You will receive photos of the orphan and annual reports of their progress.

The Orphan General Fund allows you to help more than one orphan.
You can set up a payment plan of your choice, specifying any amount, without any commitment.
Donations often supplement sponsorships but may also be used for projects that benefit orphans and their families. The projects focus on education, health, social welfare, and sports and leisure.

Eight-year-old Sumon lives with his aunt in a small, two-room house made of mud and sticks. The house has no electricity or clean water. After his father’s death, Sumon’s mother had to move to the city to work and left Sumon in the care of his elderly and physically-ill aunt. Through the One-to-One Orphan Sponsorship program, Sumon’s family now has enough money for basic expenses, schooling fees, nutritional food, and medical services.
Sumon wants to be a pilot when he grows up, and thanks to his sponsor, he now feels he can. His living condition has improved, as he is receiving food, proper education and healthcare.
