Zain Bhikha
Zain Bhikha was born on August 9, 1974, in Pretoria, South Africa. He is a world-renowned nasheed artist, famous for writing many Islamic albums.

Bhikha was not aware of his full potential until 1994 when he won a singing competition on Radio 702. A simple song which he recorded on his home karaoke system brought him to the top among most professional participants. Bhikha composed, A Way of Life, a compilation of basic Acapella Islamic songs, mostly in English covering the various tenets of Faith.

Zain Bhikhas songs served to be very popular throughout South Africa, especially for young children who found the songs educational and inspiring.

Under the guidance of Mountain of Light and Jamal Records, Bhikha released his first new album, Faith (2001). With his popularity on the rise and live performances around the globe, Zain Bhikha released Our World in 2002. This album was a portrayal of the unity Islam brings to all cultures, languages and traditions through the will of Allah.

Bhikha was a pioneer in the Nasheed genre. When Bhikha started singing, Islamic songs were not sung in English. As one of the first English Islamic singers, he opened the door for many other artists. His albums have been launched in many countries and he has performed live in many cities across the world.

seven8six
The name SEVEN8SIX (or 786) is a popular numeric shorthand for the Islamic saying of bismillah, or "In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful." The talented singing group consists of Shahaab Quraishi, Omar Razzacki, Zafar Razzacki, Muhammad Saadullah (Saad), and Muhammad Saeedullah (Saeed).

The group performed as SEVEN8SIX for the first time at the 2002 ISNA convention in Washington, DC. Most of the group's subsequent public appearances have been at large concert events organized by Muslim groups.

“We are using SEVEN8SIX as a tool for propagating Allah's message,” says Shahaab. “Although we all love to sing, that is not the reason behind the group. It is something we do well together and share a passion for, but more importantly, we share a passion for being Muslim and spreading the message of Islam. None of us claim to be perfect, or that we do everything correctly, or even try to preach to others. We just want to open people's eyes to what Islam truly is about and to tell the youth of this country that we know what you are going through and simply…we understand.”

SEVEN8SIX has grown tremendously since their first performance. They are very thankful for everyone's support and dua's. "Insha'Allah, we look forward to a lot more together as a group and hope that everyone, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, can share in all that we put out. Ameen.”

This simple concept later became the inspiration for over a million young people to watch his Reminder YouTube video series.

He formed Ummah films, an organization whose mission is to support original content that Muslims write and produce. With a natural comedic talent, he’s produced several short videos, including “Funny Things You See During Jummah” and “$25,000 Wedding,” receiving thousands of comments from viewers around the world. With the right touch of comedy, all his videos have one common goal: to send a positive message to Muslim youth and their parents.

If he can do it, so can I.’”
