Sumon’s Story
Eight-year-old Sumon lives with his aunt in a small, two-room house made of mud and sticks. The house has no electricity or clean water. After his father’s death, Sumon’s mother had to move to the city to work and left Sumon in the care of his elderly and physically ill aunt. With Islamic Relief’s help through the Orphan Support program, Sumon’s family now has enough money for basic expenses, schooling
fees, nutritional food, and medical services. Suman wants to be a pilot. His living condition has improved, as he is receiving food, proper education and healthcare. Suman’s family expresses their deep gratitude and prays for the donor’s long, peaceful and happy life.
