10 Million Homeless in South Asia Floods

An estimated 10 million people in South Asia have been lefthomeless following devastating flooding that has hit Bangladesh,Pakistan, and India recently. Food, clean drinking water, and medicalattention are the major needs at the moment.

In Bangladesh, half the country is flooded, leaving over 7 million homeless.

In response to the floods and Cyclone Yemyin that has struckPakistan, Islamic Relief has treated thousands of flood victims in 12health centers, most of the injured being women and children. IslamicRelief has also provided shelter, food items, jerry cans, and kitchensets to the victims.
